Patch 4.3 PTR: Play with and against the Blues in raids and PVP this week

Player vs. Blue? Player w. Blue? You choose! Sapperwix on the PTR forums has revealed two PTR events with the developers to take place this week. The PVP event will be today, Nov. 1, from 3 to 6 p.m. Pacific. The PVE event will feature developers queueing for the Deathwing raid using the Raid Finder and will take place on Friday, Nov. 4, also from 3 to 6 p.m. Pacific.

Developer tests like this are an excellent sign that Patch 4.3 is coming soon, so check out our previous coverage for more info. (For my money, I think Blizzard missed some excellent pun opportunities here. Red vs. Blue? Blue"s Queues? The possibilities are endless!)

Play against the Blues
Greetings All!

Tomorrow 11/01/11 the mightiest combatants of Blizzard will once again gallantly stride across the blood-soaked soil of Azeroth. That"s right, we"re doing a Play-with-the-Blues Battlegrounds event on the PTRs!

From 3:00pm-6:00pm PST we"ll be queuing for specific battlegrounds, be online and watch for the server alerts to know where to find us.

Play with the Blues
After you"ve tested your mettle against us during the "Play AGAINST The Blues" event on Tuesday you can follow it up by joining us on the PTR in the fight against Deathwing and his minions!

On Friday 11/04/11 we"ll be online from 3:00pm-6:00pm PST and will be queuing up for Dragon"s Soul raids using the Looking For Raid tool. Queue up using the LFR tool to join us. You will know us by our guilds [Blizzard Horde] & [Blizzard Alliance].


Brace yourselves for what could be some of most exciting updates to the game recently with patch 4.3. Review the official patch notes, and then dig into what"s ahead: new item storage options, cross-realm raiding, cosmetic armor skinning and your chance to battle the mighty Deathwing -- from astride his back!
