Clint Oram, vice president of product management, will present at this year’s CRM Evolution in New York City. Oram’s session will detail how SugarCRM is helping companies create more agile processes for attracting and retaining customers. Resource Management Modules is an extension module to Sugar Professional or Enterprise, and can be easily installed via Module Loader. It works closely with Meeting Module to book a room for meeting, car for customer visit, etc, by providing for a Calender view. It is now compatible with 5.2.0i.

Open source is giving a mighty boost to the enterprise software industry, changing the support equation for users and signaling to Microsoft and other proprietary vendors that it"s time to catch on or be left out, according to Larry Augustin, an open source visionary and the current SugarCRM CEO. He thinks the maturing software industry is showing signs of changes that will redefine the customer/vendor relationship, alter current business and distribution models, and eventually fuel cloud computing.
